Blackpool FC booked their place in England's Premier League next season after coming from behind twice to beat Cardiff City FC 3-2 in an exciting play-off final at Wembley. Brett Ormerod's toe-poked close-range finish in first-half stoppage time sealed victory for Ian Holloway's side who had twice fallen behind to efforts from Michael Chopra and Joe Ledley only to reply through Charlie Adam, with a fine free-kick, and Gary Taylor-Fletcher. Blackpool, the 1953 FA Cup winners, can now start preparing for their first top-flight campaign since 1970/71.
