Champions FC Basel saw their lead cut to eight points as they lost 3-1 at FC Zürich today.

Famous victory
Late goals from Akale Kanga and Keita secured a famous victory for sixth-bottom Zürich in the teams' penultimate fixture. Mikhail had put the home side ahead on eight minutes before Sebastien Barberis equalised for Basel.

Own goal

Grasshopper-Club consolidated second place with a 4-1 victory at BSC Young Boys in Berne. After Alain Rochat had brought the hosts level, two goals from Nunez Pereyra and an own goal by Avraham Tikva added to Mladen Petric's first-half strike for Grasshoppers.

Last-minute winner

Bottom club FC Sion went down 2-1 at FC St. Gallen, despite taking the lead through Mobulu M'Futi. Daniel Imhof restored parity at the Espenmoos stadium before Marco Walker hit a last-minute winner.

Points clinched
Elsewhere, FC Lugano's hopes of second place were dented by a 3-1 home defeat by Servette FC. Marcelo Rosa Da Silva clinched the points after goals from Joel Magnin and Dimitri Mitchkov had sandwiched a Johann Lonfat strike.
