Gianni Rivera followed in the footsteps of the likes of Alfredo Di Stéfano, Sir Bobby Charlton and Eusébio when being presented with the UEFA President's Award for 2011 earlier this month.
"It feels great to be among those who have also received this award," the former AC Milan and Italy playmaker tells UEFA.com. "I think it's correct that the UEFA President identifies and awards personal recognition in terms of all aspects on and off the pitch. In football the right behaviour and good human relations are becoming more and more important, and the technical aspect is often just a secondary matter."
